QHAH serves adults with developmental disabilities. This may include adults with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other qualifying developmental disabilities.
We review every referral individually because a diagnosis alone does not tell us what support a person needs or whether a particular residential setting is the right fit.
What We Consider
During the referral process, we may look at:
Daily living support needs
Medical and health needs
Behavioral support needs
Communication needs
Mobility and accessibility
Supervision and safety
Medication needs
Community goals
Staffing needs
Personal routines and preferences
Compatibility with the residential setting
Available QHAH resources
The goal is to determine whether QHAH can provide the level and type of support the person needs and whether the residential setting is an appropriate fit.
